On Saturday 7th July, Yusuf provided a spectacular finale to the awesome Live Earth concert in Hamburg. As the evening’s special guest, Yusuf closed the event with a five song set that included the classics “Ruins”, “Wild World” and “Peace Train” as well as a stunning rendition of the Stevie Wonder song “Saturn”.

Yusuf said “I’m delighted to be taking part in this event; I feel I’ve written sufficient songs about this subject to commit to it and make a stand.”

The charitable event took place in the HSH Nordbank Arena and its purpose was to raise awareness of the dangers of climate change. Yusuf was joined on the day by a host of other hugely successful musicians, including Shakira, Chris Cornell, Enrique Iglesias, Snoop Dogg, Jan Delay, Mia., Roger Cicero, Reamonn, Michael Mittermeier, Silbermond and Juli.
