Yusuf Islam enthralled an audience of dignitaries at yesterday’s Fortune Forum event which included former US President Bill Clinton and actor Michael Douglas. The event helped raise funds to tackle world poverty and showcase the work of key humanitarian organisations.

Yusuf’s last major mainstream performance in London was in 1979 at UNICEF’s Year of the Child concert. Now, 27 years later, he offered a unique item in aid of his charity, Small Kindness. A special auction gave an opportunity to the winning bidder to attend a session with Yusuf Islam at a London studio during which they would witness a one-off recording of a classic Cat Stevens song for the donor to prize and keep.
