Peace Train Chugger
Yusuf is sending a special Peace Train Chugger to mark The Christchurch Invitation, Mahia te Aroha, inŌtautahi Christchurch, NZ. The Mahia te Aroha is an initiative developed by members of the Christchurch Muslim community in the pursuit of peace. The project was born out of the extraordinary response of support, compassion and humanity that followed the terror in the city on March 15th 2019.

The Peace Train Chugger is a customised mini-train that children and adults can ride enjoying songs and messages as they travel on the virtual tracks of peace. The train will arrive later this year in New Zealand and together Christchurch Invitation, Seed The Change NZ and Christchurch City Council will be ensuring the train has a place in the city as a symbol of peace building, compassion and understanding between communities.

11 Million Trees
On the 11/11/19 at 11am, Peace Train volunteers participated in the planting of 11 million saplings across 2,023 locations in Turkey. The event was part of the “Breath for the Future” campaign, a massive reforestation initiative that will be observed annually and highlights the country’s commitment to a greener future.
