About

Following 1970’s Tea for the Tillerman was not going to be an easy task. However, Teaser and the Firecat actually managed to commercially outperform its predecessor. Impressive sales of the album around the world saw Cat become a global sensation. It spent fifteen weeks at the top of the Australian album chart and single versions of “Morning Has Broken” and “Peace Train” both made it into the top 10 of the US Billboard Hot 100.

Teaser and the Firecat was also the title of a children’s book, written and illustrated by Cat, that featured the characters from his album cover design.
