Tea For The Tillerman
Released November 23, 1970

About
Undoubtedly the album that propelled Cat to international stardom, Tea for the Tillerman is widely regarded as his seminal work. The playing personnel remained largely unchanged from the previous album, Mona Bone Jakon, and Paul Samwell-Smith continued as producer. Boasting a wealth of timeless classics such as “WIld World”, “Hard Headed Woman”, and “Father & Son” the album broke into the top 10 of the US album chart, a territory in which he had previously made little impact.
Many of the songs from Tea for the Tillerman have become hits for other artists the world over, cementing Cat’s reputation as one of the finest songwriters of his generation.
