Following 2006’s Another Cup, Roadsinger showed that Yusuf / Cat’s return to making music had not been a fleeting venture. Songs such as “Thinking ‘Bout You”, “The Rain”, and “All Kinds of Roses” match the song-writing quality of his mid-70s work and have added to his impressive canon. This sense of a return to form was reflected in a positive reception from critics and strong global sales. Impressively, the album reached number 10 in the UK album charts.

Roadsinger was supported by a number of high profile TV performances and the successful “Guess I’ll Take My Time” tour. The tour saw Yusuf perform in Australia, one of the territories in which he’d been most successful as Cat Stevens, for the first time in 36 years.
