“I had some demos which never got to see the light of day and one of them was ‘Mary and the Little Lamb’. There was something beautiful about that song and I always loved the chorus, even though it was sad. I felt I had to write another verse because I wanted it to make this a happy ending, so I wrote a whole new scenario to the end where Mary and the lamb really do get together and life is fulfilled.
